Manchester Airport Groups Dragons Den competition

Our entrepreneurial team, Bee Bakes, consisting of 8 Year 10 pupils entered Manchester Airport Groups Dragons Den competition. The team produced 3 products, Manchester Bee themed Mug Cake, Manchester Bee window stickers and Bee in the City cupcake toppers. They raised an amazing £6515.58, this is the most money that has ever been raised in the competition to date by a single school, resulting in the team achieving 1st place.

The pupils have worked tirelessly for 7 weeks to achieve this fantastic donation to Royal Manchester Children’s hospital. They have been supported along the way by many of the local businesses donating items to package their products, our mentor from Manchester Airport, Michael O’Hagan and their supportive parents.

The children have won a fantastic reward, being collected from school in a limousine, transported to Manchester for a 3 course meal, finishing the night watching Wicked at The Palace Theatre.
