I just wanted to say how amazing Priestnall is not only academically but and in some ways more importantly pastorally. My child is so lucky to go to a school where she really does matter and where the school goes above and beyond the call of duty to meet all the needs of a child.

I wanted to take the opportunity to thank all the staff at the school for all you have done to keep our children safe and to keep our children's education going. You have been working under enormous pressures and have delivered amazing things with few resources and little time. It is greatly appreciated.

Living through a pandemic is difficult but it is nice when you find an advantage to the situation. I am so impressed with the quality of teaching in all of my child’s lessons.

Everyone I met with today is clear about the school’s development priorities and fully motivated to improve them. Your inclusive vision for the school is increasingly widely shared. The new appointment and changes to role have brought a new energy to the school.

Dear Parent/Carer,

We are delighted to be able to arrange a Year 7 residential trip from Monday 21st November 2022 to Tuesday 22nd November 2022 to the Conway Centre in Anglesey, North Wales. The trip will be open to all Y7 students and is designed to assist with the transition from Primary School to Secondary School.  Students will have the opportunity to get to know other pupils and staff and to take part in activities that they could not do in school.

The trip will depart on Monday 21st November. Pupils will travel by coach and arrive at the Conway Centre at midday. The Conway Centre is an Outdoor Adventure site that can provide all students with different learning experiences focussing on different skills. Pupils will be staying at the centre before returning to school on Tuesday evening.

The provisional cost of the trip will be £150.This covers the following:

  • 1 night`s accommodation at the Conway Centre
  • Coach travel to and from the centre
  • All activities – choices include High ropes, zip wire, climbing, raft building, sailing, canoeing, problem solving, orienteering, night walk and quiz

In line with the School’s Charging and Remissions Policy the school can only request voluntary contributions (except for board and lodging on residential visits). No child will be discriminated against or treated differently according to how much their parents/carers have contributed. However, if there are insufficient contributions the visit may be cancelled.

Super Curriculum/ MAWS Headteacher’s Pizza Parlour

Posted on 12 October 202212 October 2022 by Webmaster

Headteacher’s Pizza Parlour

On Tuesday this week, The Headteacher and I, were delighted to host a celebratory Pizza Parlour event. This was to recognise the achievements of 27 students for their efforts with regards the Super Curriculum and their Personal Development Challenge Portfolios. All students involved had shown an incredible commitment to their own learning over the last academic year, and as such we wanted to celebrate their successes! I’d like to extend a massive thank you to all students who have taken part in either initiative last academic year, and challenge every student this year to get involved!!

A huge congratulations to all of our winners: a great afternoon enjoyed by all!
