Attendance

Priestnall School is committed to supporting the welfare of our students through regular attendance at school. The link between good attendance and high levels of achievement is unquestionable. We expect parents and carers to ensure that students attend school every day and arrive on time. Promoting good attendance and punctuality is the responsibility of parents and carers as well as school staff.

Read more from the Attendance Policy

If your child is going to absent from school, please ring the school office on 0161 432 7727 or email attendance@priestnall.stockport.sch.uk to explain the reason why and when you expect your child to return to school.

The school office is open:

Monday – Friday 8am to 4pm.

Outside of these hours, you can leave a message on the school answering machine or email attendance@priestnall.stockport.sch.uk

Please note that if your child is persistently absent (with attendance at 75% or below) further absences will not be authorised without a medical note.

As of  1st September 2013,  parents or carers are not allowed to take their child out of school during term time for holidays or any other reason except in exceptional circumstances. Should you take your child out of school during term time an EPN may be issued. All requests for Leave of Absence should be made in writing to the Headteacher. Further details about Leave of Absence can be found in the Attendance Policy.
