Coronavirus Information

Dear Parents / Carers

The guidance concerning the Coronavirus changed this morning at 8am.  I have copied the text to the bottom of this email and included the link to the full guidance for your reference if required.
In summary the guidance concerns travellers returning from Northern Italy, which is defined by a line above, not including Pisa, Florence and Rimini, and who have returned home since February 19th.

The guidance states if travellers should develop symptoms of a cough or fever or shortness of breath, you should immediately:

  • stay indoors and avoid contact with other people as you would with the flu
  • call NHS 111 to inform them of your recent travel to the country

As we recently had a school trip to Italy over half term, I am publishing this guidance to you all.  The trip was not in the regions where the outbreak is currently affecting, but is north of this line.

We have no further guidance or information about this, but will contact you directly if any further information needs to be communicated.

Regards

Mr R Jones
Deputy Headteacher
Designated Safeguarding Lead

GUIDANCE can be found at : https://www.gov.uk/guidance/wuhan-novel-coronavirus-information-for-the-public#advice-for-travellers
