Design and Technology

At Priestnall school we are designers and technologists! We want our students to love Design & Technology. We want them to have no limits to what their ambitions are and grow up wanting to be architects, graphic designers, chefs or engineers. The Design & Technology curriculum has been carefully crafted so that our children develop their D&T cultural capital. We want our students to remember their D&T lessons in our school, to value these memories and embrace the opportunities they are presented with.

The D&T curriculum promotes creativity and a desire for learning. It is a broad and rich offering that empowers our students to become independent learners and experience all elements of Design & Technology mapped against the National Curriculum. We want to equip students with not only the minimum statutory requirements of the D&T National Curriculum but to prepare them for the opportunities, responsibilities and experiences of future learning.
