I am delighted to invite you to our Year 7 Parents’ Evening which will be held on:
Thursday 18th October 2018
The evening will take place in Café Mersey from 4.00pm to 7.00pm. Please use the entrance near to the Sports Hall where you will find College Leaders ready to assist you.
This evening is set aside for you to discuss your child’s progress and induction into the school with their Learning Co-ordinator. The length of the appointment is five minutes. Please make a separate arrangement if a longer appointment is required. Directors of Studies for each College will also be available on the evening.
In order that we can make appropriate arrangements, we would ask that you complete the slip indicating your preferred appointment period. Please return the slip to your child’s Learning Co-ordinator.
We look forward to seeing you on the evening.

I am writing to invite you to our Year 8 Curriculum Information Evening which is taking place on Thursday 11th October starting at 6:00 pm in the Main Hall. The aim of the evening is to give parents and carers an overview of this crucial year and to provide you with advice on supporting your child to maximise their potential. We anticipate that the evening will end at around 7:00 pm.
We would strongly encourage you to attend this event, as our joint working is vital in ensuring the success of all of our young people. You may have had older children through the school; however, the curriculum and assessment have undergone very significant changes in recent years.
As space is limited, we would ask please that numbers are limited to no more than two family members attending.
Parking is available in the Recreation Centre and also in the staff car park – please follow the signs near the school’s main reception. We respectfully ask those arriving by car to be mindful of our local residents and ensure that the driveways on our nearby roads are kept clear.
We look forward to seeing you.

Our Open Evening this year is to be held on Thursday 27th September 2018. The evening is designed to give parents and carers of Year 6 Students the opportunity to look around the school and speak to staff.
In order for us to prepare for the evening, students will be allowed home at 1:15pm unless they are helping a member of staff. A letter to this effect will be circulated to pupils who are involved in the evening.
A ‘grab bag’ will be available from the canteen for those students who are entitled to a free school lunch. Please could your child inform their Learning Co-ordinator should you wish them to take up this offer.
Please let us know in writing if these arrangements create difficulties for you and we will accommodate your child within school until the usual finish time of 3:15pm.
Mr J Cregg
You can find the presentation that was given at the Year 11 Information Evening on the Year 11 Curriculum Information page.
On Wednesday of this week we were delighted to welcome representatives from the Ministry of Education of Saudi Arabia to Priestnall. The purpose of the visit was to share excellent practice from the educational systems of both countries and for the delegates to gain first-hand experience of life in a UK school from the perspective of staff and students.
Our visitors met with senior members of staff and enjoyed a tour of the school. They will also be visiting other schools in the North West before returning to Saudi Arabia later this week.
