Teacher of Mathematics
Priestnall School is a popular, over-subscribed 11-16 school situated in the pleasant residential area of Heaton Mersey, Stockport. Our community benefits from wonderful students and a hardworking and committed staff team.
We are currently seeking to appoint a Teacher of Mathematics, to join our successful school. The Mathematics Department aims to provide all students with a rewarding and enjoyable experience of mathematics. We prepare students to become confident, numerate individuals who are able to deal with all aspects of mathematics in their chosen career and in all aspects of their adult life.
This will be accomplished through our commitment to excellent teaching, a well-designed curriculum with an interesting variety of lessons to motivate and engage all students. We have high expectations of all students so that they will recognise and achieve their full potential. We hope that students will develop their own skills in analysis, reasoning, creativity, collaboration, logical thinking and self-evaluation so that they can meet the mathematical problems they face with thoughtfulness and enthusiasm.
We are seeking a well-qualified colleague who has:
an innovative and creative approach to teaching and learning;
- the learner at the centre of their vision;
- excellent classroom practice with the ability to deliver engaging lessons and secure strong outcomes;
- the ability to inspire, challenge, motivate and empower young people to achieve excellence;
- an absolute commitment to achieving the very highest of standards.
